Joseph D. Myers AssociatesIn
1946 Joseph D. Myers opened a stained glass studio beside his home in the sleepy riverside
area of Tampa known as Seminole Heights. The muralist soon became known for his
original stained glass art.
By 1999 the firm , which has always consisted of two or
three persons, had designed, painted, fabricated and installed stained glass in over 200
churches and repaired the windows in 200 more.
The Myers' windows can be seen at Hillsborough High School
and Plant High School in Tampa, the H. Lee Moffatt Cancer Center and Veteran's Hospital in
Tampa, and Sea World in Texas, along with many restaurants, banks, government buildings,
amusement parks, offices, and residences in the Tampa bay region. Their stained
glass graces churches from Paducah, Kentucky to the Cayman Islands.
